We can't get the pellets that everyone recommends over here, just loose multiple colored ones in the pet shop and he won't eat them. He has parrot seed mix with all stuff in it all day for him to eat .but he gets mash in the morning and another twice through the day.

I leave pellets in at night but Digby doesn't eat at night or early morning when under covers anyway, so if I didn't it wouldnt be a big deal. They don't often eat at night, especially if they had a nice dinner before bed

The pets shops here are not very good, their cages are filthy, disgusting in fact.sometimes when I get Pablo,s food it has little black beasts in it,even in the sealed packets.so I have to sieve all the food to get rid of them, then I put it in the freezer just in case I have not got all of them. But he really loves his mash
