Breakfast Performance
« on: October 13, 2011, 01:33:06 PM »

well we had a change this morning.......  I ground down some Zupreem and some Hagans, did them some apple, orange and a bit of grape all mixed in with the ground down pellets.  I put some in Elvis's dish which he eats in his cage and some on the top of Jack and Leo's cage for them to eat.  I have to give them all the same or they eat each others.

Anyways, Elvis tucked in to his - so at least I managed to get some down him.

Then next thing Jack is eating out of the bowl and removing all the pellet bits and eating just that - then Elvis is picking up the fruit that Jack has "cleaned" and eating them.  I just can't win !!!

they've just had afternoonsies now - carrot, broccoli and cauliflower - same again with the pellets and Elvis is tucking in again - if I can't get him to eat them whole I'm going to make sure he gets enough without him realising x

Up until recently Flint had most of his pellets in disguise!
Just the last few weeks really he has been properly eating them whole.

Its a step in the right direction!!

Its strange - the other two will more or less eat anything in front of them.  In fact Jack is a full blown pig - he would just eat all day if I let him x

thats great that they aren't fussy eaters
Hopefully Elvis will copy them in that respect!

Flint is quite fussy I'd say.
I guess he hasn't been used to a varied diet, but he is getting better and sometimes surprises me!

I gave him spagetti and carrots last night - love watching him eating spagetti!! He gets a bit of rage at it sometimes and starts heaving it out the bowl - but then he'll realise he likes eating it and stop ind chomp for a bit  (this is after all the carrot had been fished out and scoffed!)
