Cooking With Rosie.
« on: November 18, 2011, 10:21:20 PM »

I was cooking a lentil dahl today for me 'n' Rosie and he decided to sit on my shoulder and help. As I was shredding some Savoy cabbage to put in it he started leaning forward saying, "Hmmn" and looking hopeful. This is a chap who normally won't touch anything green and leafy. I passed him a piece and he ate it with every evidenced of enjoyment.
I love the fact that he ate it but hope that he's not intending to eat a balanced diet only if he's sitting on my shoulder (or head).

well done rosie
charlie eating on my shoulders always brings tears in my eyes...
tears of PAIN!!!!
i will eat veg and he will almost hang from my lip to see what i got, i will hold up some veg for him and cus he is so excited he will get confused and instead of biting into the veg he will bite my ear..
and if thats not enough he will dig his claws into my shoulder as i will jump when he bites my ear
i have stopped screaming- but there is no way i can stop jumping too!!!
so i hope rosie will eat his veg AWAY from your shoulder too

 @emca and Charlie!
Rosie's not quite that bad but he does feel that the odd nip to my ear keeps me on my toes. What with trying to keep him from biting my ear and avoid the Crow from stabbing my ankle, it makes cooking quite an adventure.
I mostly don't allow them in the kitchen with me these days but yesterday I felt sorry for them as they had barely had any time out. I had been quite poorly early in the day and just went to bed after walking the dogs.
Since Rosie was so good yesterday though I may relent, he is a budding little chef given half chance.

That's good. Sid will eat the veg when we eat dinner, especially a roast potato. The first time I let him out after we got him, I was giving the kids their tea and he flew straight to the table and helped himself to a chip
