I was feeding the shamas, mealworms and Jasper flew over and took one and started to eat it. Since then, Jasper always ask for one whenever I am feeding the shama.

This has probably been asked and answered, but, how much should you feed a day?

Today Freddie's diet has consisted of:
Broccoli in the morning
Pellets in the buffet ball
Broccoli, carrot, chilli

All of it has been spread thoroughly throughout the day but I've got a few carrots and some broccoli left over which I am thinking of giving him tonight. Is that a good idea or too much? I don't want to waste it, but obviously that's not the first priority.

I am trying to vary it each day, and I'm going to start him on the chop/mash as soon as I've got the ingredients...

Yeah there would be no harm giving him some tonight, I don't really limit the amount of veg, pulses, pellets etc, only things I do limit are fruit and seed

I eat things myself and then she always wants a bit

Remove all sunflower seeds from the cage after breakfast then there is no option other than to try other things. Try introducing sweet fruit first like grapes (only  couple a day though) and move onto other things. Have you thought about getting a low sunflower seed mix to start with because this would be a lot healthier than her current diet.
