How long are you trying him for Karen?
This is what happened to me. Charlie was eating Harrison Fine, Penny eating Coarse, so I couldn't afford to feed them both Harrisons, so I changed them to Hagen Tropican....Charlie threw them Penny ignored them, I bought the Hagen Tropican sticks......Charlie ate them, Penny went on to Harrisons Fine.......I think I'm better off, not sure

Anyway, the way I did it was to give them their toast and palm extract in the morning, followed by their chop. As well as that, there is a bowl of pellets. Now, I've been through Charlie throwing the pellets, dropping them one by one on the floor to taking the whole bowl out and throwing it! If he does that he doesn't get any more. In the evening he gets more pellets put in his bowl, while in his other bowl he will get a bit of veg and a bit of fruit. It's up to him if he eats the pellets or not, but he doesn't get anything else. That's it........now the longest he has held out for without eating pellets is two days, of course he had veg, chop, fruit as well......just no pellets. Then he started eating them, so now Charlie is on Hagen Tropican Sticks and eating loads. Penny is still on Harrisons Fine, but that's ok I can cope with that. I do however, mix a few Tropican Sticks in with her Harrisons as well hoping that she will eat them, but I'm not too fussed, at least she is getting the goodness out of Harrisons.
When I had my kids, their meals were put in front of them, if they didn't want it......they left it, but I wasn't going to go cooking anything else for them. I was the original Supernanny!
