There is no evidence that garlic is beneficial to parrots, and because its safety has not been studied widely in birds/parrots it should best be avoided.

I've just had a delivery from Scarletts. I was going to ask the same question. I have given them as a treat when i have my afternoon cup of tea and biscuit. I tried one (or two) myself as Boomerang wouldn't try one when i put them in his bowl :yummy: :yummy:. There really nice. :yummy: Much more tasty than the pellets, they taste like dry rivita

There are lots of articles out there about feeding garlic to birds, however, some vegetables like onion, garlic and avo have a very different effect on animals than on humans and can actually be toxic to animals.

There is an extensive thread about garlic on this forum, probably in the diet section, also raising the concern about its safety in birds.
