Getting worried about harrie
« on: August 16, 2017, 04:43:42 PM »

It's coming to that time of year again. I'm really scared that Harrie will become egg bound again.she almost die.i wish it will just summer so it won't happen. This time I'm not going to have the money to save her . I'm going to have to get insurance or something. I don't know what to do to stop her wanting an egg. I'm really scared :(

Can I ask if you offer her nesting opportunity?
I make sure they can't shred the paper in the cage bottom
No touching below her head ,
Avoid warm foods esp animal proteins e.g. Egg n chicken
Cover her cage for 12 hours every evening to keep the hormones down too x

You can give 12 hours darkness all year round
It's advised anyways even when you don't have a hormonal grey as it's to prevent it all happening x
