Grind up a cup or so of pellets, or soak if you don't have a coffee grinder or blender, but only in a minimal amount of water. add one or two eggs, a teaspoon of baking powder but you can do without and whatever veg/fruit you want but chop it up finely and don't add too much to start with. The consistency of the dough should be quite thick. If it is too thick add a bit more water, if it is too liquid, add more pellets. Spoon in the paper cups or just roll into rounds in your hands and bake for about 30 minutes at about 190C(gas mark 5)

Or if you haven't got a grinder instead of soaking, put them in a bag and bash with a hammer  :baseballbat: :baseballbat:

OK bake them and they are cooling as i type .
Ok, let say she eats them ,will know more in an hour (what happens with the seed now in her cage )do i withdraw it altogether now and take it off her.
Ive add at least three good tblspoons full of high potency course , 2 eggs mixed peppers carrots etc to the mix . Need to know if im going to get her off this seed .
She has fruit and veg throught day calcivet in water and multivitamins daily also .

don't withdraw the seed until you see her eating the actual pellets. Bird bread is just a supplement and a way to get her to used to the taste of the pellets. You can however of course reduce the amount of seed you give, she shouldnt' need more than 3 tablespoons a day anyway, if you give her other foods too, plus you want her to be just a bit hungry to start eating pellets.
great that she is trying the bread already

Pearl is feeling sorry for herself she has a little seed and harrison crushed and bird bread in the other  bowl  she hasnt touched the harrisons and has started circling her cage alot as she has only got minimum seed .

This is going to be a battle of wills ,like last time i tried to introduce them to her,  dont like to see her like this she is normally a happy bird even though her feather condition is poor due to plucking .

Debra, you don't need to starve her. Only withdraw the seeds for a limited amount of time and still provide her with breakfast and dinner. Also, try bugging her with the bread. I know it might sound silly but I just take a piece of whatever I want Digby to eat and keep bringing it close to his face until he either takes a bite, or takes it away from me and chucks. Either way it is usually enough, or after a few goes, it is enough for him to get the taste of it and realise it actually tastes quite alright.  I just got Digby to eat a bit of yogurt this way
