Harry's cage cover
« on: February 01, 2017, 01:57:04 PM »

Got Harry's cage cover today, will find out how she reacts to it today, hopefully she don't bite wholes through it. It's not as thick as I thought it would of been. Next Harry's lamp :)

let us know how she gets on, I don't think she'll chew through the cage hopefully.

I've had one of these covers for the past 5 years :) Lyla will have the very occasional chew at the velcro but has never really caused no damage.

Aww i've got a cockatiel with liver disease,  as long as i make sure the aviary is warm etc he just manages, its not making him unwell thank goodness, hope it continues.
I have in total 12 parrots, 7 cockatiels, 3 kakarikis, 2 conures & a grey. I lost my first grey about 18 months ago, she was out in her external cage & the door broke open. I'm still broken by it :(
I got a baby grey a few months afterwards who is a little sweetheart :)
They are all such good birds

I've ordered more toys from Northern parrots, I'm trying to help her to stop being stressed. She's been ill since mums been gone. That's why she's gone down hill. We just done know what goes on in their minds do we.

He is a nightmare to feed, he's 12 years old and I knew no better when we got him so he was fed a seed diet only, he will occasionally eat the odd bit of veggies but not enough to survive on so he gets tidymix & sometimes milk thistle & eats at least some oats etc. He's not on medication as he's not really bothered by it, I just make sure he's warm, he doesn't tolerate cold well.
He is the father of 3 of my tiels & his wife is with him, sorry I said I had 7 tiels, it's 5.
I rehomed the kakarikis as I have an aviary & they needed an aviary home & I got the conures from a breeder on the forum to fill the void as I'd recently lost my beautiful kakariki to sudden death :(
I love birds, they are so intelligent. I also have a dog & 2 bunnies :)
I prefer animals to people
