Silly question I know, but I have an Actifry and haven't dared use it since getting Hugo, are they safe to use around parrots?  I have always been very worried about using mine, as our house is open plan downstairs and I worry it may give off fumes as I've no way of knowing how hot the pan gets during the cooking process.

Many thanks
Jacqui

Someone else said they looked into it and it contains no Teflon
We've had one years and it's used almost daily x

We have a breville halo, which is similar I think? Never thought of putting other veggies in it, wonder if jasper would like carrots more cooked this way?

It's alright with gadgets Tony, but where do you put them all? Our kitchen isn't very big lol

Fried items are not suitable for parrots. Any kind of parrots in all over the world do not eat fried item foundly. In some cases some parrots take these item in their food but they also not take it too much. Parrots love to eat fruit as much as we can provide them to eat

I wouldn't worry Mandi, I find it absurd, it's just repeating what they read. Even if they where fried let's do some comparisons..

Peanuts(other nuts apx) 51%, sunflower seed 48%, safflower 38%(always found this a little absurd like 10% is huge in the grand scheme of things), chips and crisps(normally fried in sunflower oil)15% yet it's the 2 at the end. As we know fat is a healthy component, variety tempered with moderation with all things.

Jasper loves sweet potato cooked this way. I cut it into chip shapes for her. Xavier can't make his mind up between this and mashed lol x
