Hi lee and harvey pringles are a definate nono too much salt. perhaps tell us a little more about yourself and harvey in the new members section, and then have a browse in the diet and all the other sections as there is so much great info- so sit comfy with a cuppa and have a good read, no question is a silly question, we all had teething probs at the begginig- so for now enjoy

Hi sorry but you will have to persevere and wean it off pringles "gastly food" for a parrot no human food is very good for them, i would try slices of banana with the skin still attached, have you tried peanuts you do not they are good for treats but only as treats i would not feed on a daily diet as the contain a lot of fat content.

Deffo no more pringles.

Definitely no crisps.......really bad for him, salt and fat.  If he won't take anything else as a treat, then he doesn't get a treat, simple as that.  Just give him head scratches and praise him up really well, but by feeding him that sort of thing, you are killing him slowly.

You're welcome, have a lot in the diet section, you might pick up some tips in there of what you can and can't feed them.

What is the main basis of his diet?

I use a tiny bit of walnut as a treat. She goes mad for them

charlie my african grey doesnt go for any treats at all.
i have tried every food there is BUT he LOOOOOOOVES to shred paper.
so when i started training him to fly to my arm on command i used to hold a piece of paper in my hand. he will do almost anything for a tiny bit of paper:)

I buy tissues every week and my Thabo just loves to shred the box, if I don't have a runny nose or sneeze I end up with tissue lying on the coffee table cause I don't have a box to keep them in
