would like some ideas on what to give our parrot to eat like veg etc, we give her broccoli and carrots here and there also pieces of tangerine and apple, we give him harrisons high potency coarse and seed when we run out until we get it again

just did a 97 order got some palm nut spread so will put that on toast for her now and then

I think sweet potato is ok ? how often? just once a day? and we have to boil it and mash it up without adding salt or anything

nevermind I just saw a thread with what is ok for our parrot sorry

we give her seed all day or harrisons we give him 12 pellets every time his bowl is empty is this ok?

we have called her a HIM for years until she laid 2 eggs about a month or so ago, but have still called him Alfie as it would feel weird to change that name now

through the day some days we give him some apple and tangerine she also likes monkey nuts

I often make Lyla a sweet potato mash with quinoa and a small amount of pomegranate, always goes down a treat. She will also occasionally have some veggies roasted in coconut oil as well as porridge made with almond milk.

Everything you've said is fine, except the monkey nuts, never give them, they can harbour a mould which can cause aspergillosis.

I would also try a different pellet, not that harrisons is bad at all but you can get cheaper & then you can free feed. I keep pellets in the food bowl at all times.

Sounds like your girl eats a good varied diet so well done.

Most of what your doing seems fine to me aside from the monkey nuts .
We too feed Harrison's but we give em one day a week on AS30from Scarlett's eg sunflower and peanut  free

Hi and welcome back George
You can buy mixed veg in the freezer sections at the supermarket
You need to give veg daily :)
As for the pellets , you can feed them freely
And the egg laying , have you looked into ways of preventing any more ?
No touching below her head
Give 12-13 hours total darkness of a evening
Don't provide any nesting opportunities e.g. Avoid allowing her into dark corners or under furniture
Don't allow her to shred paper to build a nest with .
My coco likes to shred paper but it all falls through her cage grill so she can't use it to nest with :)
