New Zupreem Flavours
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:16:39 PM »

Just been on Northern parrots and have seen that they now do  a nutblend zupreem and a veggieblend zupreem. They are in the shapes of what flavours they are.

I received my animal zone pellets yesterday. Truman has picked at them. I got the plumage enhancer, the fruit sticks and the muesli.
I tried the first two myself because I have to be honest I don't like the look of them. They look really dry and chalky. They tasted the same to me and that was of nothingness.
I will see how he goes with them but am pleased about the zupreem cause he is currently on fruit and natural blend. If the veggie is without colours I would stop feeding the fruity and try him on this. Or maybe feed a mix of all 4.
Would this be possible?
I know other people feed a mix of pellets so it probably is. I have a 7.5kg container that I could store them all in mixed so it would be a different amount of each per day .

Just to say I know it isn't about what I think to the pellets and a parrots taste is obviously different to a human. After all I don't think anyone on here likes palm oil do they?

Cheers

I have unwittingly tasted palm oil  :puke
Sounds good with the new pellets, only problem with mixing them Becca is they are almost certain to pick out their favourite ones and discard the rest.

Damn, both new flavours have artificial flavours in. Why do they need to add artificial stuff when it has so much other stuff in it.

Think the natural ones are the only ones they do without artificial flavours/colours.

Is it only the coloured pellets that Truman likes?

Yes the Animalzone ones do look boring and taste of nothingness but don't give up on em Myrtle loves em and they are the only pellets she will eat, and have I bought some pellets since I've had her.

Hi Liz,
No he is happily eating zupreem fruity and zupreem natural. Plus hagen lifetime sticks.

I would prefer food with no artificial flavours though [zupreem fruity] so that is why I am trying Animal zone.  The natural and sticks would look very bland/boring on their own.

In the muesli mix that I have just given him  it had a peanut in it.  When he had the tidymix he would still pick what bits he ate.
I think he would do this with the muesli as well.
So I would probably go with the plumage and the fruit sticks.

I will have to try the fruity zupreem myself like I did the A Z. I can't believe that if it is meant to be fruit flavoured it tastes of nothing.

He eats equal amounts of his current pellets so I suppose he is alright as he is.
Does anyone know if zupreem do free samples? Thinking of the new flavours.
