Ingredients:
100g dry chickpeas weight (soak overnight, drain, and boil for 40 minutes) or about 300g cooked
1 cup oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3 stalks of celery
1 small garlic clove
1 small chilli pepper
1 tablespoon of tomatoe paste
a pinch of rosemary
a pinch of thyme
a pinch of oregano
1 egg
Preheat the oven to gas mark 4.5 - 5 (190C)
In a food processor pulse dry oats, then add celery, chilli pepper and garlic and pulse again. Then add chickpeas, sunflower seeds, and the rest of the ingredients.Pulse until well combined but not mushy. Pour into a loaf tin ( I used a ceramic oval oven dish), spread evenly and bake for about 30 - 35 minutes. Cool down, cut up in slices and freeze.

this is a loaf I actually made for myself and not Digby. Apart from the ingredients listed above it also contains 1Tbsp of worcester sauce, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, salt, half a large onion. This is just a vegan (vegetarian if adding an egg) recipe for a "meat" loaf, which I made for us but I thought it would be perfect for parrots with a few adjustments. It smells yummy
