Hi

Basically was just wondering if anyone has fed feed or tried to feed there birdies mint leaves or dandelion leaves, the reason I ask is only because I have read about them in this months parrot magazine apparently dandelion leaves are high in calcium content and also apparently fresh peppermint has a calcium content of 68mg and spearmint has a calcium content of 56mg.

Hi Mandi

Are they something you would give regularly, last years "think parrots" show I brought a dandelion plant but to be honest didn't bother with it but might try again, they had loads of flowers for sale will take a better look this year when I'm there.

To be honest Tony when I had the tortoise I picked them regular so the birds got them too
They are seasonal , so if ya see some in ya garden pick em and see if they like em
I used to make Karl leave the edges of our grass so I had enough stock for the tortoise :)
