The transformation in these birds speaks for itself. Diet is playing a huge part on their overall health and they look amazing. Bella was only on seed when we got her and until i joined this forum. I must look back on some of her pics and see if i can see a difference :yahoo:

I was given some harrison pellets for alfie as he is on alot of sunflower seeds n things before i got him and the pet shop said to much of this is not good and gave me the pellets to try and said this was a better diet for him.

As in previous posts about changing his home and going into a cage n things like that i dont want to change his whole life in 5 minutes but after seeing these pictures im definatly going to try introduce this into his life. What a great transformation!

Pellets are a more nutrious and aid the bird in many other ways. As diet is critical to health and well being and also can influence some behavioural issues along with proper rest etc.

Like I said previously, Frodo was on pellets straight away as we got him from the breeder, but Bilbo was a re home who only was given seeds and we put him on pellets the same day and cut right down on the seeds (he only got a tiny bit of seeds), and he loves them.

 I am confused...which is better...pellets ...or fresh food, nuts and seed (like Irina's chop recipe) .with fresh fruit. Note I am not talking the dreaded sunflower and peanuts!!
I just want the best for my new baby, and now is the time as I am busy weaning her. :dummy

minimum 50% pellets, the rest is fresh well-balanced food with emphasis on grains, some beans and vegetables, with a small amount of fruit and nuts as a treat.
