Hi all
Please dont shout pellets to me as Ive tried over the last weeks and its not working so i thought OK, will stick with fruit veg , calcivet and multi vitamin supplement that shes on as shes temperamental and Ive been emailing irina for help in this issue .
OK took all black sunflower seeds out of her diet and threw the pet shop mix out .
lets make her a seed mix up that i can combine myself using organic ingredients from health shop .
I have in the house some buckwheat, some pumpkin seeds some white sunflower seeds wholemeal pasta She wont eat dried chillies or banana chips, raisins or peanuts she likes the occasional monkey nut and almonds but i need to know the best dried mixture to combine .Remember I'm giving pomegranate sweet potato daily .
She is not keen on soaked sprouting seed so it needs to be dry .

I am not a member of the pellet police, so won''t shout pellets

Rather than making it up yourself (that will be expensive

) tidy mix is a good mixture to get.... I give mine Avimix (thanks to Irina

) no need for extra calcium if you give that

I'm not a member of the pellet police either ROFLMAO I like Pat and Bob reccomend tidymix its one of the best seed mixes around

ok. Thanks guys for your replys ,just want the best for her. in the seed variety.
We have tried and its not working out with the pellets.
It is stressing her and she is pulling yet more feathers out .
I have also tried the sprouting seeds and beans similar problems so ill stick to what she likes and order the tidymix if you think thats a good alternative .
I Notice there are some suppliers on Ebay anybody ordered on there from a supplier, or do you all order from parrot 24,com

northern parrots,midland parrot , allpetz bird supplies,scarlettes are all good on line shops, if u use palm oil midland is cheapest(when they have it in stock) looks like you will be doing plenty of browsing

I think tidy mix might be the way I go with Angus
I just get a load of Scottish abuse when I present him with pellets, even in the short term while I keep trying it'll be better than the pet shop poo you get !
Ive been mixing my own up - but it's very time consuming and expensive !

I know this isn't the response you want, but now you've got a reply on what seed mixes are good I thought I'd just hop in to say it really could be worth buying a small amount of pellets and mixing it within the seed/mash/whatever. It can be done with perseverance. It could take days, weeks and months but yeah it doesn't hurt to keep trying along side a good seed mix.

Before I converted my lot to pellets I used to feed Tidymix and always ordered direct from the manufacturer. You place your order and are invoiced once you receive the seed.

Yes I did the same as Pip. I ordered Tidymix as recommended by Paula, treats, sprouty stuff etc etc. I didnt get the invoice for weeks. I then forgot to pay it and they didnt visit me in the small hours. I emailed then when I remembered and sent payment with a blush
