No, well can't answer for everyone, but I haven't...seems a lot of hassle and probably end up expensive...sure many years of research has gone into the good ones, so I would be arrogant to think I could better them

No I've not and like Bob said it would work out too expensive, I use Tidymix and that's one of the good ones

There's not really any bad seed in the good mixes Ann-Marie, think Tidymix has twenty odd different ingredients...very hard and expensive to make up yourself.

I was buying a mixed seed from the supermarket before I got a big bag of J&J low sunflower seed.

I think it would be more expensive to make your own than buy the ready made ones. I only keep a separate bag of linseed to grind up and add to Flints mash now.

Is there anything particular that you didn't want in there? Maybe you could just pick it out of you mix?

I think my brain had just drifted off Liz.  It wasn't anything in particular I was justing thinking of coming up with a seed mix with just really good things in.  I've ordered a load of bits and bobs - different nuts ect so I've decided instead to put a mix in foraging toys.  Elvis just really likes seed and i haven't got him converted yet x
