Oh yes, sorry, forgot to say about Poinsettia - it is on the toxic list. however there is no proven toxicity of it. But because it is best not to experiment on your own parrot it is best to keep the plant away.

Peggy, and about bread:

Also, Peggy, I have my own birdie bread mix, which I haven't put on sale yet but it is already ready and packed. I was going to have it for about £3. But I won't charge you anything for it, if you want it, and will explain why when I drop the stuff at yours tomorrow

In the birdie bread, do you put the egg shells in as well, for the calcium?

you can if you want to, but I would boil the shells first for about 20 mins. However because Charlie eats pellets well, you don't need to add the shells.

As i'm on this device i cannot tell whether its a sticky or not, as page detail is minimal. No detail at all in fact just text only.

 :secret:

I have a secret to tell you about sprouting seeds .........The mould growth and bacteria levels can be quite high when sprouting your own seeds . You do need to be careful . There are drops you can add to the water to prevent mould growth - (GSE) Grapefruit Seed Extract . Mould is soooooo toxic for your birds . Please be careful .
There is a detailed web page www.avianweb.com/sprouting.html

Good luck , they do love them but we love our birds more , be safe
