Hi Lynn
I do like the Look of that foraging wheel it's strange ain't it how they have there favourite different ways. I said to Mandi yesterday in a post that I've noticed that I really do over feed Mamadou in the sense of portion sizes so I made a contentious effort this morning to reduce his portion size because he doesn't eat all of it, he as even left some of that, and I think it's obviously just a balancing act on getting the right amount.

Ozzy is throwing everything at the moment, he really does prefer cooked veggies - are the sprouts cooked Mand?
Tony, I definately put too much food in Ozzy's bowl, like you Im now trying to cut down a bit, shame I have about 20 ready made meals for him that are probably big enough for 3 parrots

Hi Mandie
Blimey it was only after I read your post I thought I will have to use the portions in the freezer first they are way to big I think for Mamadou i will remember for next time to reduce the portion size

If you've bagged up or potted up enough food for 3
It will keep 3 days and longer in the fridge so no need to over serve
I have all empty bowls on my return from work
And they have even had pellets too
Pellet fed greys should be around 70% pellet 30% fresh foods x

Hi Mandi
That's quite a big pellet to fresh food ratio which really does tell me that I'm over filling Mamadou's bowl, which in turn produces a lot of wastage, I'm gonna start to make a real conscious effort to get near to that ratio from now on.

Tony my lot have pellet on free feed
If it's running low of a evening I leave it as I know they will eat their fresh meal come morning
Their tummies r only small so they dnt need much in one go and the fresh stuff will soon spoil ESP warmer weather
They will drop some as its natural as this would encourage more foods to grow

Evening Mandi
I've never left Mamadou his pellets in overnight would you advise otherwise?
I have pellets on mamadou's perch out of his cage and in his cage freely available all day so I think I really need to concentrate more on his fresh food size.
