african grey feeding behaviour
« on: October 08, 2014, 12:24:14 PM »

Recently our family bought a 12 weeks old African grey. My issue is being that the bird always makes a hell lots of noise when I am feeding him(syringe feeding). When my grandfather feeds him, it seems he is very quiet. So in this case, am I feeding him wrongly which is why he is making lots of noise?

Hi Masterkof

Welcome to the forum

Does your Grey not feed from a feeding spoon? Is there a reason why he's syringe fed? I got Mamadou at 12wks and he was being fed from the spoon for a couple of weeks but he wasn't syringe fed.

I'm only guessing but could it be your grandfather is the birds favourite person? Is it he that spends a lot of time with him.

Try not to get stressed out with anything otherwise he will pick up on your mood and I'm sure our more experienced members will be along soon to offer you advice.

Tony & Mamadou
