I don`t think you sound like bad parrot people at all, and neither does he by the sounds of how much he looks forward to you coming to visit him!

It sounds like he`s not used to hands and stepping up too,

Small update from yesterday :)

Took my book round to read to him which I think he enjoyed. Rather accidentally, we discovered that he has no qualms about going on-to a box. So rather than offer an arm or anything, we offered the box. You may need a little gentle persuasion but no ruffling or biting. Bear in mind though, we only did this when he was trying to be naughty by attacking the TV box. Was a good session yesterday though. He leant in for a nibble a couple of times but we put out that fire with a stern look. He, on his own terms crawled onto my shoulder so he could get to the floor (poo'd down my back first) and went on my ladies knee (poo'd again). Really happy with how yesterday went.

I've just been catching up and read all of your adventures with gnashed. He sounds amazing and given time he will fit in with your routines I'm sure

Also a cushion is a good idea for stepping up on if he is acting stubborn, I use one most night with jasper :)
