Animal Behaviour Quiz

This is an animal behaviour quiz. Completing this quiz will make you understand the purpose of life with animals better. :biggrin: Enjoy!


1. A dog hears a bell ring and runs to his food bowl. What encourages this behaviour?
a. Classic conditioning
b. Operant conditioning
c. Dog watches too much Cartoon Network


2. A crocodile tries to attack you. What is the best way to handle the situation?
a. Freeze - don't move
b. Hop around like a bunny to try confuse him
c. Run as fast as your legs can carry you


3. You own a black & white cat and a canary. The cat sits and watches the bird incessantly. What is the bird thinking?
a. I tawt I taw a puddy cat

I dont think I know the answers to any of the question but I love the thought of the parrot thinking 'You alright duck? Woohoo I'm a good boy.'  :rofl:

Some of the questions do have a correct answer, but some of them my mind was being a bit off sides on the humour  :nerner:

I only know 1. Pavlov's dog, spelling may be  wrong though.  got the research book, my partner was doing Phsychology and sociology degrees before she died.

Correct. 1. is Pavlov's dog and he used a specific type of conditioning method which is ........
Cartoon Network can't be the right answer, because CN didn't exist in Pavlov's time  :rofl:

I also only know the answer to the first one, though thinking about it, i know the answers to all of them - if i saw a crocodile i woudl run, if i saw a spider in the cupboard i would shriek and close it, etc. but I do wonder how the colour of the cat is relevant in the question  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
