Feathers Fraying...?
« on: May 22, 2009, 07:39:32 PM »

Hi everyone,

I went to my mates house today and he has just brought a 10 month old african grey who is lovely. I noticed his feathers looked slightly frayed near the ends of his wings and his tail... he has no signs of plucking and is very spoilt indeed...

My mate asked if this was normal but i no clue on this one, i was wondering if anyone on here would know...?
It does not look bad just wondered what this could be... :panic:

Hi  :welcome:

I wouldn't worry about the fraying of the wing and tail feathers on a young bird they get damaged while they are playing and climbing the cage and that, our 11 month old Coco is the same it's where she plays and rubs against the bars, so tell your friend it's nothing to worry about.
