Itchy Gnasher
« on: October 04, 2014, 03:24:35 PM »

Since gnasher has been here he's seems to be itching an awful lot.. I have given him a light misting with warm water both yesterday and today. I was just wondering is it possible he could have mites as my uncle kept pigeons, would it be worth looking into mite prevention just incase?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Kind regards,
Sarah

Sorry mandi I have only just seen this.. Quite possibly could be due to anxiety, as he is settling he seems to be doing it less and less. I'm popping to h&b tomorrow to pick up some aloe Vera hopefully this will reduce it even further :)
I'll try and post a video of him in action lol ..x

Could it be new feathers after a molt? Ozzy is scratchy all the time at the moment, he has lots of new feathers coming through.
