Please help me advice needed
« on: February 14, 2015, 09:42:57 AM »

Hi all

I need some advice please, I was spraying Mamadou this morning and I take him up to the bathroom and show home him the bedrooms etc I've done it with him ever since I have had him, this morning in the bathroom I was spraying Mamadou and he took flight and ended up having a little swoop down to the bath and he's caught his wing and instantly one of his feathers has detached broken there was no blood and he was fine allowing me to touch him and everything he's happily talking away and being his normal self but I'm so worried about this broken off feather and what I need to do now.

Any advice or help will be very appreciated

You don't need to do anything Tony, it's not bleeding so it will just shed as normal or he'll remove it if it's bothering him. It's nothing to worry about :)

Hi Kazky

Thank you for replying I was worried but yeah like you say it's not bleeding and he seems absolutely fine so I will just keep my eye out and wait for it to drop out.

Thanks again Kazky

No problem Tony, Yvie one caught one in the cage bar it it snapped but didn't fully break off,  and it was really hurting her, I had to pull the piece that was just dangling, it was really frightening.

Aww bless her

I think Mamadou's is not bothering him in anyway so hopefully it takes care of its self, I can only imaging how frightened Yvie was.

Thanks again Kazky
