Oh dear now Ive got a headache BEFORE Georgie comes home.  When do parrots moult, is it a certain time of the year otherwise Ill be paranoid that hes plucking his feathers out.  Do you spray parrots with warm water any time like daily?  :ty

Your baby will probably start moulting next year now, around spring/summer time.

Spraying can help soothe them but over spraying can dry the skin so 2-3 times a week should be fine

 Hi Soo

I spray Mamadou everyday I was concerned when I came home from hospital with my leg in cast that he'd gone completely against it and started plucking so I posted a picture of his feathers that I had found and I think it was John H who posted back and said they look very much like moulted feathers, since then I've seen loads of little ones obviously bigger ones which are more noticeable as well remembering Mamadou was 1 yrs old in August this year, so it is a no no to spray everyday or would you just not advise even though he seems ok.
