Zack doesnt need a dog's bed cos when he was the size of a guinea pig he was in a crate at the side of my bed, but when i used to get up to go for a wee in the night i would come back and my hubby would have him all cuddled up with him in the bed!!! i groaned but then said  'AHH' and cuddled with him. Now nearly 9 years later he even has the cheek to go up before us so he gets the best positon!! yes, in the bed, and even under the covers in the winter   tragic, learnt my lesson though, if i ever ever get another dog i will never ever let it sleep with me
