He has diarrhea, and I'm worried if he's sick.
« on: December 02, 2017, 07:31:15 AM »

Hey guys, so some of you might remember me posting about my parrot coco, two weeks ago.
Since it's cold at night, we cover the cage with a blanket so he can sleep comfortably, we also turn on a heater all night.
Well, since that's out of the way, I want to ask you for guidance for the problem he's facing right now.
I noticed coco being a bit inactive last night, we thought he might be tired, so put him to sleep early for rest.
So we woke up next morning expecting coco whistling from the cage, because he does that everytime, but weirdly enough he wasn't today.
So we took off the blanket and got him out of the cage, and the first thing he did was poop, and it was really watery.
I'm going to post a picture of it, so I'm just gonna give a warning here.
Also, since he seems to becoming more active, I will look at his stool during the day to see if he got better.

Take pics through the day but that just looks like a morning poop to me, they are watery and stinky. Keep monitoring though, if his poops are ok through the day & he’s active I wouldn’t worry, if he continues to have poops like that and is inactive get on the phone to your avian vet. You haven’t changed his food have you?
