Very Worried
« on: October 07, 2016, 03:44:00 PM »

My African Grey Parrot has recently been very quiet and not talking as much - he has also been tilting his head down like the images I've displayed down below. I took him to the breeder and he gave him anti-biotics on two ocassions(could that be too much)? I've started giving him some fruit ZuPreem Fruit Blend Medium as well as Zolcal D Calcium which i put in his water bowl.

I would appreciate some help please..

Thanks

Hi ,please take this bird to a vet and get him fully checked out.
Grey's have a fast metabolism so time is of the essence.

You need to get him to an avian vet. I've experienced something like this once & it was from my cockatiel that had flown into the wall & was concussed. She was in so much pain with it.

I'm not saying it's the same thing but It's not normal behaviour.  Where are you? You need to find an avian vet. Sorry to be dramatic but we need to be.

Also stop putting anything in the water, make sure he has fresh clean water for the time being.

How long has he been like this? Keeps us updated

Oh goodness, either he's really not well or hurt himself somehow. Antibiotics can make things worse, if you don't know the illness, if there is one :(

Hope he's ok x
