The new steam mop
« on: May 30, 2013, 07:51:00 PM »

don't get on here much these days but keep an eye on all the posts.

I have just had my new steam mop delivered today. Its also a handheld one as I wanted to see what the rave was about in regards to cleaning cages......OMG its brilliant. I have cleaned all my floors, my whole bathroom, all the windows inside and finally Archie's cage. Previously I wiped it all down with baby wipes every day and a thorough soak and clean once a week. But with all the dust and poop, its still awkward and time consuming getting every bar and corner clean....well no more whoop whoop!!!!

Hi Jacky, I am a nearly 45 yr old Yorkshire born model, slight wear and tear but overall a good runner hahaha
I am not known for my decisiveness. In fact it took me three months to decide on a Hoover lol.The one I bought was the Wolf 2 in 1 steam mop. It was only 48 which I thought was great value as you get all the attachments too. I did buy extra floor cloths
I spent ages looking at 2 in 1 steam mops, reading reviews etc. I decided that this one is good value for money, and does the job really well. There are some negative reviews but there is for anything I suppose. You have to make your own mind up I guess

I did look at the more expensive ones but they all had the same gripes. The way I see it, if a less expensive model does the same job, then keep the change you would have spent lol. I have all day to steam to my hearts content tomorrow. I am going for the oven and alloy wheels

Thanks for this thread. I was just looking at steam mops and debating whether to get one. Decided now

They are good, I only have a  hand held steamer and it is heavy to hold. My kitchen is only small so I couldn't justify a steam mop

I have brought a steam mop and I couldnt wait to use it, I waiting as B&Q had it on offer for 50 instead of 100 it won product of the year last year.

So I needed to get the bathroom tiles cleaned because they became a bit grimey in the gaps and a bit yellow hence why I wanted to get one.

So got all the bits together and away I went well I was amazed how clean the tiles came up and how much dirt was in them and they now look brand new only big big downside for me is that we live in a flat.

Half way through cleaning the bathroom with a lot of steam it started the smoke alarm off well that was it poor Frankie in the other room was not impressed that the smoke alarm kept going off.

Now i have Packed up the steam mop think shall I take it back because every time I use it, it will set the smoke alarm off unless i disconnect the alarm.

I haven't tried it on Frankies cage yet but that was the only other reason why I wanted to get the mop.
