UV Lamp Cable
« on: October 09, 2014, 01:41:29 PM »

Hello all,
Just a bit of advice needed. I have a UV Lamp bolted on top of Peaches' cage, when she is out of her cage she tends to nibble on the cable (luckily I caught her in time and unplugged the lamp) is there any thing I can use to cover the cable up something really hard so she cant get through to the cable?

I've got the kind of corrugated hose/wire cover for mine Sean, mine is also bolted on top of Yvie's cage so she started to chew it. I think hubby got it from B & Q?

its made from a harder plastic, Yvie hasn't bothered with it, because its a wider diameter I think it's harder to get it in her beak? Not sure but it no longer holds any interest :) its the width of the hose that empties the water on a washing machine.

I was going to hwqve jaspers lamp fixed on the wall above the door and run the cable over it to the socket, but typical no one to help me :(

If I had done I'd thought about the plastic trunking that is used to tidy cables away, we have it under the TV to hide the cables there x

How about some plastic tubing, the type used for plumbing?
