Kindly help, what is the best nesting material for CAG's

Do they really require nesting material at all?

Ad26 is your grey/ greys breeders ?
Most of us here keep companion birds
There's a couple breeders that may be along to offer advice soon x

ad26, is this your first breeding attempt? if so I would do lots of research. I know my cockatiels laid a few years ago and I knew nothing, I had to frantically find out about food etc as they were so hungry!

Can you tell me what are wood chippings? Are they remains of the wood? Any picture of wood chippings please?

This may sound rude but i'm going to say it, i don't think you should be breeding when you don't know whether nesting material should be used, or what type. What experience do you have with birds?

in past i have bred different species with different nesting material, this is my first time with larger parrot.

Well wood shavings and chippings are two different things i guess.

Wood shavings will be fine the wood chips are larger and allow the birds to chew them up a bit. Here are a couple of photo's of my babies in the nestbox so you can see what we mean.
