My new CAG Cozy
« on: December 12, 2015, 12:54:40 PM »

Well Cozys now eating her pellets, veggies, and soaked seeds, I also got her off peanuts and onto hazelnuts which she was weary to try at first but now loves them just as much. I soak the pellets in a bit of orange juice and add a bit of sustainable Palm oil to them and she eats them like crazy, the soaked seeds I just add a bit of her old seeds to it and mix and she eats them, I've been adding some clay to her greens for minerals and to help eliminate any possible parasite in case that's why she plucks, I also add a bit of hemp, alfalfa, kelp, and cayenne pepper to the veggies. I want to take her for a blood test but not until she's completely settled in. She is such a joy, it's now been two weeks since I got her and I just adore her, she's got the most even temper, such a sweetheart, she never bites and she always wants to be with you, she's very gentle around my other new bird Minty, she always gives her tons of space when she's out and never tries to bully her she's just a really gentle girl, she hasn't plucked since she's been with me, and has grown lots of feathers in these last two weeks :) She always tries to get peanuts out of me whenever I show her something new that she doesn't want to try

Thank you! She's doing great, she is still a bit weary if the mister, I add some aloe to help the itching, but she stands there's and isn't really scared of it, but she's not at the point that she enjoys it yet.

I'm waiting for a new bulb to come into the bird store by me, they have a new one that's supposedly 100% guaranteed and highly tested, my other one ran out before I got her. Clay isn't lime. Grit, i don't give any of my birds grit, clay is used to eliminate toxins from the body as well as cure it from any parasites that may exist, it also demineralized the body, this is a special kind made just for birds , she'll get it once a day for two weeks and then once a week after that, she's also on some bene-bac as a probiotic

Oh bless her, poor girl, how on earth did she get like this, at only three years of age  :cheekkiss:

Hopefully soon she'll have lots of new feathers.  :flowers:
