Really cute pictures.  It will take time but a change of scene may well be what he needs to stop.  Have a good read through the diet section coz it sounds like his diet was really poor before and he is probably lacking in a lot of vital vitamins and minerals.  I would take him to the vet and see if they recommend any supplements for him.

Some pluckers will never stop, but the majority can be helped. There is a reason that most birds pluck, be it diet, environment, cruelty, neglect etc.

By the sounds of his enviroment and diet, he does not sound like he has had the best of care. You may well of stopped his plucking by removing im from an abusive environment, but the conversion to a pelleted diet will certainly help with his wellbeing and lifespan, as said before it is also reccomended for pluckers.

Having somebody care for him that has his interests at heart is the best thing for him, toys, clean cage and decent food................what agood move.

Well done for bringing him home, I think it will be a big change in both your lives.

Don't think many pet shops sell them, you can get them at the vets or various places online

Hi Joeanne, I saw you said you were going to get Harrsons,

Well may I say that not many stores sell it, and some vets do, but its cheaper from
www.chemistdirect.co.uk

The one for Greys is High Potency Coarse, 5lb  £21.99 + p&p = £25.48
Hope this helps

Hi Joanne Your getting some good advice  but first chance you get off load the small cage Get him loads of toys ( but dont put em straight in the cage )leave em for him to see But out of beak range for a day or so then hang em on the outside of the cage so he can get at em but  then there not in his comfort zone if he,s nervous  . Have you tried him with a slither of toast if so get some Parrot Palm Oil & put it on the toast  Stick with this forum Joanne & you will get him looking a lot better in no time
