Hi Paula, congratulations to yourself and to Rick for creating such a very nice forum to be involved with, i really do take my hat off to you guys for the dedication and commitment you have clearly shown, not just in setting up this forum but to the AG world as a whole. Im sure there must be many new people who have AG's looking after them due to your knowledge and help given on here than there would have been without  it, and more importantly they are doing it in a way that has the welfare of the bird first and foremost.
You and all the other great people have me hooked already and ive only been here since yesterday....oh no ive got the AG bug...is there any known cure or should i just give into the symptoms.... Regards Martin P

Hi Martin

Thanks for the lovely comments, it all started 13/14 years ago really when i got my 1st African Grey parrot and the love and interest has grown more and more, so it seemed the right thing to do was to build the website and forum for all like minded people to get to know each other and share all things parrot related and help as many people as possible to learn how to car for them.
As we moved into breeding greys it just seemed right to have the website and forum so people that where looking for a baby parrot could ask all the questions they needed to know before bringing there baby home and the people that get a a baby off of us have the backing of the website, most of our babies go to people on the forum which is great as we get to see them grow up
Glad you found us and like what we are doing and are hooked! I'm afraid there are no cure for the AG bug but we can provide a padded cell if things get to bad  :nerner:

hello Paula this is the most helpfull and informative site I have found whilst trying to find information to help my African grey with her featherloss problems. Worzell had hardly any feathers when we rescued her two years ago but we managed to get her beautiful again over the next year with constant love and attention  but two days ago she started losing her downy under feathers. I am at a loss as to why and can only put it down to winter light levels or breeding hormones as stress is definitely out of the question for the little princess.   :bye:

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum - why don't you post a topic in the new members section and tell us more about Worzell - it would be great to hear how you managed to get her beautiful again.  Could the downey feathers be due to putting the heating back on as my three are losing them left right and centre at the moment x

I am new myself and I enjoy to check the Forum a few times a day.
Like the name Worzell - reminds me of Germany, lol

Hi Nikki, start a thread about your concerns in the relevant part, if it's Diet, Health, Behaviour....that sort of thing and we'll see if we can help.

Hello, I'm Anna and actually seeking a loving home for Wally the African Grey after inheriting him after my father in law passed away.
Ideally on the Isle of Wight. We love him dearly but can not provide the forever home he needs.
