Ours go to a friend of ours over in Lincolnshire Karl and have done for years
It's 55 miles each way but she can handle em and she's brilliant with the birds.
There's also a chap over in Driffield called Lee
Look on Facebook for The Real Macaw parrot boarding
If you can't find him get back to us .
Think Mandi knows him too.

Apple is fine
Don't think cherry is
Should be a list of safe trees in the stickies at top of page ;)

Hi. Sorry to interrupt the conversation but I live in Cleethorpes and was wondering if you know of an avian vet near me? Or could you give me details of nearest to me please? Thank you

We do a 110mile round trip from Hull to Halifax with ours and have done for years.
There's also one in York, those are the only two avian vets I know of in Yorkshire.

Hi just an update oscar is getting on brill I am able to pet
Him now sometimes tries to bite but I just say no and he is fine I have learnt him to sit on my hand only thing is when I put my hand near him he drops his wings and make a silly noise then brings seeds back up what he has eaten is this normal
Also I was worry about him coming out the cage but I took the plunge and let him out and he is great he just walks around the top of the cage and watches tv lol little bit harder to get him back in but we are getting there thank you all for your advise it worked wonders

Aww glad it's going well. It's always a little harder getting them back in the cage
The wing dropping regurgitating is mating behaviour. When he does it just remove your hand & don't encourage him :)

Hi Karl
The action you describe is a mating action
It's best to ignor this behaviour and if he's on your hand return him to his cage top or play stand and walk away
You may have to keep repeating this but it's for the best
Try offering treats in his bowl when you want him to go inside
Something he really loves and only give it him at this time
Failing that you can remove feed a hour befor you let him out and return it as you want him to go in
And try not to close his door everytime so he don't associate each time he does go in his cage he gets locked in x
