we have been a few times we enjoy it but at the same time it makes me sad :(. i hate to see all those greys in there as mostly they come from family homes.jacko would hate it i no he would.being with lots of birdies and not one person to whom he could have a special bond and one to one time.id like to pay and be a helper there for the day though think its about 75 pounds.id love to go in and feed the macaws they are my favourite :)

Those pics are far better then the ones i sent Mandy Vauxlady .I have strong views on parrot keeping & visit the NPS regular ..Just about every bird there theres a story behind it.We support it financialy & like i told Mandy Steve Nicholls who runs it as guided D&I  in many ways over the years  coz.along with our Avian vet Johanna Storm  & the lady who boards our Grey Dudes ( who is also  enquiries officer for the NPS ) these 3 people have had a massive influence in the way we care & look after the Grey Dudes
Squid ive not been to Birdworld :nono: tell us about it  please.

Mandy, we actually went on holiday there for a few days about three years ago, took Danny Boy with us too.

Also in Desford, Leicestershire there is www.tropicalbirdland.co.uk/. It doesn't have as many birds as the NPS, but it does have a fair number that are free flying. Just watch out for the Macaws' beaks!

I've been to both of these the one near skeg isn't as big but they care for their birds well. Birdland in desford is ok but lots of the parrots are in cages that desperately need rebuilding as the wood is rotting and their grey enclosure hasn't got enough shelter for all the birds, they feed their birds cheap seed diet too- shame really as they have just spent a fortune on building a nice new cafe to appeal to visitors but the money could have been better spent on the birds. My mojo goes there to board and they do look after him well but i take his own food lol its just such a shame they mis spend their money on cafe's and not their birds.

That was one of the big mistakes we made with Tim  :cry2:.We should have got her a mate years before we did  it would have saved us loads of problems  :crazy:D&I
