Reclaimed materials for an aviary?
« on: November 12, 2017, 07:08:22 PM »

Hi,

I've recently taken down some sheds that someone was giving away for free.
They kept rabbits in a large enclosure that would be perfect as an aviary.
It's timber and mesh built and currently in pieces in my garden.
My question is can I safely re-purpose these materials to make an aviary for my grey?
How would I go about disinfecting the timber and mesh?
Many thanks

Iím sure the materials can be put to good use
You can buy a f10 disinfectant that would rid of any nasties
Though I donít know how safe it is but I know a few rabbits that are kept in bottom of aviaries and both do fine
So maybe a good jet wash ?  X

Thanks Mandi,
I thought so but it's nice to hear that someone else isn't telling me I'm being stupid :)
