You'll be lucky to have Alex much longer if she flys off that branch outdoors or if the ball mastiff gets her, remember she may get on with the dog and vice versa but dogs saliva alone can be very harmful if not fatal.

Is there no way you can't take her with you even though your moving and starting a new job?

Just bare in mind even a clipped bird can take flight if scared,

sadly I don't know of anyone that is able to take her from you.

I have tried every where but to no avail - they are of course vetted and I have turned down two people already, I do not have the luxury of time that most of you do on here!!!

You could give him to a parrot rescue charity, they will then take ownership of the bird and find him a suitable home.

Well sorry but we dont all have that much time either! Were abouts are you? 

Ive just re read your post from July when you were thinking of rehoming her then. I take it your family still aren't interested in helping care for Alex, and this is the real reason you are rehoming her? Just because of her age and lack of interest, I'm so sorry for Alex and hope she does find a loving home. There are many people around willing to give her a home, it just takes time and the right person will come along :(

Is that not what the charity is for amongst other things to find them suitable homes so I doubt they would see it as hassle.
