Went out in the garden today to catch some of the last warm summer sun.

he was very quite, sat there having a good look around for ages, didn't want to be too far away from me. I put him on the grass for a bit and laid down with him, but he does not like being on the ground really.

Matt I know you've probably told us before but Blue was clipped when you got him so can't fly? Is that right?

Matt I know you've probably told us before but Blue was clipped when you got him so can't fly? Is that right?

He was indeed, but I think he may be starting his first molt, so that could be the last time he is out in the sun without a harness.

Blue is beautiful! I love when they lift the feathers on their heads and necks like that, they look so fluffy  :biggrin:
Matt, even if he is clipped be careful if you decide to take him outside without a harness again, they can still escape especially if the wind is strong enough.

Thank you all for your concern, but believe me when I say the only way he could fly was if another bird picked him up, his clip on the one wing is about as severe as I have ever seen.  I am going to get a harness and start the familiarisation process now, so that he will be used to it before he has the ability to fly.

No not really, but he does like to climb about a lot.
