Hi Jackie
I have 3 pluckers and 2 feather perfect
I don't think there's any reason for pluckin to just be a copied behaviour
Did you have blood works done for your rescued bird ? And follow quarantine ?just incase there's a medical reason as to why he plucks xx

Hi, Thankyou for your replies, Jojo doesnt seemed bothered about new bird just now, hes still eating normally and is still very vocal which im happy about, , the previous owner of our new bird had bloods etc done and was told by avain vet that " hes just a plucker " but i have now weaned him  off the richard the third seeds that he has been fed for years and he is now on Pretty Bird and Kaytee the same as Jojo and he now gets Calcivet and Daily Essentials in water and wet foods that hes never had before so hopefully time will tell if these will help him to stop plucking, and if it doesnt it will definatly make him a healthier bird   :crossed

If he's on pellets Jackie he needs no other supplements, the pellets cover everything so it can be a problem to add more. Glad all is going well

Jackie do you use avian Iv lighting too ?
They can't process calcium without vitD which is from unfiltered natural sunlight
In the UK this is hard to achieve everyday cause of our lovely British weather ;) so a lamp is the next best thing x
