I not the best with training advice but can you do touch training with her Ayesha?
Like make her touch a stick or something else you choose?
Then move the stick further away in time??
It will take a while but it should work x

Yeah, stick training is really handy for getting her off places where you don't want her to be I've done a video of stick training.

To get her to fly to you, ask her to step up once she's done that praise her up, then gradually move so that she has to step to you, jump to you and eventually fly to you.  Everytime you see her crouch down just before launching herself off, call her by name so that she associates coming to you with you calling her name, praise her up and treat.  She'll soon get the message.

Whenever you are training, just do if for 10 minutes maximum or she will get bored an you'll get frustrated because she doesn't want it do it.  Always finish on a high so she associates training with fun.  Best time is after morning poop and before breakfast and again before supper.

Ayesha now Missie knows how to fly she'll most likely come to you everytime you hold your hand out for her especially if your holding one of her fav treats

Ahh thanks mandi, pat and John...that's all great advice and I am going to give it a go...although I don't think she would do very well with stick training...I know for a fact she would be terrified of stepping into a stick, I will try the method of getting her to step up and gradually moving further away...she hasn't mastered steeping up off her cage to me...anywhere else she will step up so best to try the training away from her cage isn't it....she thinks she has authority over me when she's on top of her cage as i can't reach the top an when I ask her to step up she just looks at me as if to say...ner ner am too high for you to get me and she just repeats me saying step up sometimes  ...think after that sort of training she would probably come to me as you said John for a treat with out calling her....thank you guys that's been a big help  xxx

Nooooooo, stick training isn't about getting her to step on a stick, it's about getting her to follow a stick....like this....

No problem, it really is useful because if Charlie is on top of Penny's cage or on top of the door where he's not allowed.......I get his stick and touch his toy ring hanging from the ceiling or something and he comes to touch it to get a treat.  IF you do that, you have to be a little bit careful and crafty that they don't think they can be naughty by going where they aren't supposed to and then get a treat.

HaHa yes I see what you mean...just going where they are not supposed to on purpose to be told to come and touch somewhere else just to get a treat...little tinker!!  Just out of interest what is the stick you have made of...is it an actually tree branch stick thingy? couldn't see properly but looked a little like the raw hide sticks I get for fizz sometimes  I am sure its not though? xx

No, it's just a willow stick.  You know the little bundles of willow that you can buy, it's one of those.  You can use anything though, a lolipop stick, wooden spoon handle.....anything really.
