when i bought Charlie i also bought a stand/perch but he wont go on it unless hes outside with his harness on, how can i train him to stay on it in the house when out of his cage instead of him always being on my computer table, as of yet i havent any toys on it but am going to buy some for it.

Maybe when you put toys on it, it will be more appealing to him

I bought Pablo a play stand and he was terrified of it . Then hubby made him one as he wouldn't go on the bought one. But was terrified of the home made one as well. Was thinking about a java play stand but maybe 350.00 is a bit much to get put in the skip ,but I will never know till it's here ,maybe he will like this one .    Ha ha ha ha ha ha.  Knowing Pablo probably not, am I crazy or what. He is fine with what he has I just want more for him .    Nuts.  Yes. That's me

The java stands costs that much. I have the same stand as you. You can do so much with them. But have a look at this http://www.africangreyparrotcentre.co.uk/african-grey-forum/environmental-enrichment/how-to-make-a-cheap-parrot-playgym-and-java-tree/

I live on an island that costs millions to ge things here as they gave to go to two different countries before they get to me . I paid 900.00 for a 300 cage ,that could have bought in the Uk . You guys don't know how lucky you are . Crappy food here ,mega crappy toys for a budgie lol.  I have to get things from the Uk or America.. But we have become really good at making toys from reading this forum. You pay 12 pounds for a kebob yucca toy ,well we have millions of them here so it costs peanuts to make the your self. Also we have palm nuts growing every where. But you just can't beat the toys when you buy them ,they look so nice for about 2 days ,then they are wrecked . Good job I don't live in the Uk or scarletts would bankrupt me.

Karen. I know, we have a place in mainland Spain. If you ever want anything just ask me, we are next out in the car at Easter. As long as we can it in and get a reasaonable postage out there you can have it. I have yet to find a post office  :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:
