oh dear,i suppose training charlie to fly to you was the easy part?

would it be confusing for him now for you to ask him to stay put? i often have to tell jasper to 'wait there' after putting her back on her perch, sometimes it works, sometimes not. you could try this with charlie?

Think puppy!  Put him on a perch and say "Stay" hold your hand up to enforce it and when he "stays" even for a couple of seconds, praise him up loads.  Then do it again and wait a few more seconds.......in time he should stay until you ask him to come to you.
