Hey All,

Good to speak to you all again and I hope you're all now settling into the BST after the clocks moved forward last weekend, I can tell you it makes all the difference to me heading to work in the light and returning home from work in the light, who needs happy pills with all this lovely light, especially as apart from the occasional blip the weather has been pretty ok, well it has been down here in the South, I know some of you in Scotland may have a different view on that!

So it seems we've had a few database issues over the past 3 days which has been really slowing the site down even making it fall over, I am fully aware of this and I can assure you I am doing everything I can to come to a resolution, through a process of elimination I have highlighted a few specifics to our host that helps pinpoint the issues, so I feel we are close to understanding what the issues are and of course resolving them.

It also came into my thoughts the other day after working on some social media stuff at work that not all of you may know it, but we do have a Facebook account where lots of our members are already our friend, if you haven't already we would dearly love you to befriend us so that when there are site issues we can at least communicate with you there too, as my boss said "LIKE US ... WE'LL LIKE YOU" it's just a click of the button so what are you waiting for, head to our Facebook account and add us now .... do it!!

Parrot Rescue Fund

Hi Everybody!

Once again, it's time for a roundup of the fundraising activities. Well, we still have a Treasure Hunt Map going, so if anybody would like to click the donate button, it's 50p a square there are 15 prizes up for grabs but none will be revealed until all the squares are sold. So, come on, try your luck, you never know you might win a prize!

Easy Fund Raising is going along quite steadily, thank you to everybody that has signed up, there is always room for more people to join if you want to. Just go along to ... Easy Fund Raising, register and then when you shop online, just click on the easyfundraising link first and then go to your favourite shop. That way we get a donation and you don't have to do anything more than you were going to do anyway, which is to shop!

The High Five Fund is still going, so once again, if anybody wants to join in with that, then please just put your name in the thread. All 5p's will be counted on August 21st., so plenty of time to save those 5p's.

Quite a few people have mentioned that they would like to know what happens to the Rescue Fund money, well, I can tell you briefly that it is used for fuel to go and collect the Grey for rehoming, food, toys, cages, vet bills. I will do a break down and an average cost of one rehomes expenses for you shortly. Just need to get the figures together from Paula & Rick.

Well, that's about it for the fund raising part this time, don't forget though, keyrings and avatars are always on sale. Keyrings £2 each, avatars 50p donation.

Bob's Weekly Round-Up

It's been a busy couple of weeks on the forum and there have been a few changes. We have a new moderator Liz our resident teacher who is whipping us into shape in the Mods room, I am always in detention these days and the latest punishment handed out was to Pat who got a hundred lines of " I am Pat, I must learn tact ". Rick has been busy and we all have fancy new

stars under our names, a certain Moderator has been having nightmares as she feels the stars are watching her every move.

News from the re-homing front, we have available a white headed Donny Bird, DNA'd female, can be a bit naughty at times but responds well to training.

Other news this fortnight, Geoff's topic titles have been causing a bit of a stir, one new member certainly couldn't grumble. Angie has been talking circles which had Rachel going round in circles. Lock up your daughters, Fly-Boy is back. And to all our Southern members, take extra care because Sarah-Jane has been let loose behind the wheel.

To end a big thank you to the Alien Abductors who have released Irina, we did an exchange with Toria but they quickly let her go too, saying they wanted someone who spoke earth language.
