Well we’ve suffered the worst conditions we’ve had for years, the garden is covered in about a foot of snow, me and the kids decided to make the best of a bad situation (their school was closed), it didn’t snow that long ago when we managed to make a beautiful snowman (pictured):

Our Snowman
Well today my brother sent me a text with a picture of a snowman HE built yesterday … actually it wasn’t a snowMAN at all … it was a snow bunny rabbit (I’ll add up the picture later on), my brother and his other half love rabbits so that got me thinking.
I got the kids all dressed up and nice and snug and warm, you can imagine that was like a military operation as there’s four of them aged between 16 months and nearly 12.
Out we went and guess what we were going to build … you guessed it a snow parrot, an african grey parrot to be exact would you believe!! Here’s how the effort turned out after much sculpting and remoulding and bits falling off (particularly that damn beak):

Secret to a good snow parrot is to build a solid foundation

And to get everyone to help babies and toddlers included

Pat it down REALLY well

Add more snow where neccesary

Get all animals involved with the process even the cat (Gizmo)

Ta da ... you have the finished product

I did most of the work Mummy!!

You have one proud african grey snow parrot owner!!
Rick was really impressed when we showed him our handy work, he was stuck inside working on the computer, he said it was “too cold outside for all that jazz”, but I know he was just jealous!!
