Well I just cannot believe it!!!!
I was just about at the point where I would have a break from hand feeding baby greys, it has been non stop since April this year, there has not been a time when we haven’t had any and once the little girl baby grey goes we have I thought I will have some time to sit and sort out our wedding and honeymoon photos as I am going to make my own albums for them, it’s far to expensive to have them made proffessionally, so was really looking forward to that, I never thought we would get anymore eggs or chicks until next year, but NO, we were out with the breeders yesterday sorting out the Amazons, as Kerry managed to undo her cage and we heard some squeaking coming from a box!! I popped a cam on the nestbox and this is what we saw –
And these chicks are about 3 weeks old, so ready to come out of the nestbox and into the house, meaning no break for me!!!!!! Still it’s all good fun, and they are just so cute! I will update with some photos once I have them inside.
Hi, reading your updates on your website was difficult today, I wish i could see the pictures.Congratulations on the new baby chicks I assume they have got bigger. Are they African Greys?I was wondering if you are selling any baby or young or older African grey parrots/ or Amazons as I offer a good home.At the present time I am seriously considering purchasing locally but cannot afford the hundreds that are the going rate. I am grieving and sadly miss the parrot I inherited 16 years ago. An African Grey parrot called ‘Oly’ she was very old and belong to my granddad and very sadly she past away aged 47.I really enjoyed the 16 years I had her. I learnt everything about African Grey behavior, feeding habits, comunication and needs. I teached her many things and she was very receptive and so sweet. It was so upseting to lose her she died of old age, though I thought she’d live another 10 or 20 years. she was so affectionate and one of the family my 13 year old son is devestated. Please consider us if you are selling at all as we can provide a wonderful home and lots of time to any birds you may be selling or re-homing.I have an empty dome cage room for a new silver decorative bell and of course a lot of time and care for these beautiful birds a lot of interesting and humorous things to say to them too.
I enclose my email address please contact us if you know any healthy birds for sale or hear of any free to good homes parrot adverts.
Should ever you need any time/help I would benefit from such pleasure of babysitting training yours. I live in the same house in Potters Bar for 10 years and I have a large lounge where our parrot flew and where the view overlooks a park and trees and where my friends and neighbours love them too all year round.
Many thanks for your time
