Can’t believe that on Sunday(Bank holiday weekend) we have had Kato in our family for eight weeks! We are still taking things slowly well I am, husband doesn’t stand a chance sorry to say. Kato will take food from me and when I ask for tickles he will put his head down but I still need to count my fingers, Kato is saying a lot more but he and Thabo have not gelled as yet.
Since Lady plucked her wing feathers, she’s doing really well and has not plucked any more of her flights.
She enjoys the playing in the parrot room now that she has a few Java stands to fly to and from, and loves to tease the other birds when she is out playing and they are safely in their cages because of her!!
She still hates the children, and still loves to to start a drama with the dog, she loves to be fussed but will quite happily play on her own too.
She’s still the diva in the house, and tends to get her own way most of the time because if she’s doesn’t, she’ll think nothing of savaging those around her, then laughing afterwards!!! She’s an evil little madam when she wants to be, and she knows it!!! 
Just a small update and a few pictures.
Oscar still hates me and I still love him to bits. I am managing to get closer to him before he lunges at me now so it’s sort of a step forward. His favourite passtime at the moment seems to be walking on the floor but that possibly because it’s Angus’s least favourite place so Oscar can escape from him down there. I have just bought an avian lamp and Oscar seemed to love sunning himself underneath it. He’s now joined Gary in the Opera singing world and they make quite a duet.
We are hoping that Penny will keep her tail feathers this time, she has some flight feathers coming along nicely as well.
I think having moved her to the window so that she can see outside has helped a lot. Plus giving her a telephone directory.
It’s been almost a year now since she came to live with us, it’s gone so fast in one way but it seems like she has always been here in another.
I know it’s not been long since the last update of my Charlie Boy, but I had to share this with you all who are following his story.
Today Charlie Boy went on one of the play stands, I’m soooo happy.
I’ve been putting the play stand closer to his cage for months now, but today I moved it right next to his cage and he tentivly went on it.
He then happily sat there preening, it’s great that he now will have some where else to play and feel “safe” instead of the top of his cage.
I’m hoping in time he’ll be happy to venture on all the other out of cage toys too.
