Charlie Boy Becomes Charlee Chica Baggins!

June 12th, 2012
Charlie Boy Becomes Charlee Chica Baggins!

That’s right a name change, why you may ask, well we have been waiting on the results from the blood tests that were done, one of the tests were DNA and they’ve come back as being a female, so really Charlie Boy was not what we wanted.

So Stevie and I have been sat here chatting about Charlie and have decided to change her name to keep with the Lord of The Rings theme.

So now Charlie is CharleeChica Baggins, she was the wife of Bingo Baggins and mother of Falco Chubb-Baggins.

It just had to be done as we’re very big fans of Lord of The Rings and now she really is a Hobbit :)

Also we found out that Charlee Chica is vitamin A deficient, but that is something easy to rectify as it’s down to diet and that’s something we’ve been working with her since she came.

All in all, everything is going great and she’s getting on well with our other three Hobbits, Frodo, Bilbo and Rosie.

Angus The Mummy’s Boy

June 8th, 2012
Angus The Mummy's Boy

Well he’s still a mummy’s boy, but so much so that he seems to want to keep me all to himself and has begun to start flying at anyone, bird or human who comes anywhere near me.

Occasionally I have to let him come out on his own because of this – but he doesnt seem to mind that. He has enjoyed being out in the sunshine over the last few weeks and being sprayed with warm water and he’s certainly entertained the neighbours barking like a dog, doing bombs and knocking on the door. Thank heavens he didn’t use some of the other words he knows.

Here are a few photos of him

Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby!!

Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby!!

Not much to update on Ruby really, she’s doing great, still love’s her toys, food, and still loves dancing to music.

She’s quite a feisty little madam at times, especially when she is chasing the other birds away!!
For a little one, she knows how to give it some!! :P

We are slowly introducing her to the Java trees, she is a little unsure of them at the moment because she likes the security of her cage, but hopefully in time she will learn to relax and enjoy playing on the trees.

Small Update On Oscar

Small Update On Oscar

Just a small update and a few pictures.

Oscar still hates me and I still love him to bits. I am managing to get closer to him before he lunges at me now so it’s sort of a step forward. His favourite passtime at the moment seems to be walking on the floor but that possibly because it’s Angus’s least favourite place so Oscar can escape from him down there. I have just bought an avian lamp and Oscar seemed to love sunning himself underneath it. He’s now joined Gary in the Opera singing world and they make quite a duet.
